New appreciation

I participated in my first jury trial last week and gained a new appreciation for those who serve on juries.  Thank you for spending a week listening to evidence and testimony of a very emotional case involving parents and children.  I noticed that you paid attention, were interested, felt compassion, and took your role in the case very seriously.  When I see someone in the courthouse elevator with a juror badge, I typically thank them for their service.  After last week, I will say my “thank you” with a new appreciation.
